Gerald S. "Jerry" Vold, age 57 of Faribault, died on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester.

Funeral services will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Richard L. Jorgensen, pastor of First English Lutheran Church, Faribault officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Wednesday, March 30th from 4 to 7 p.m. and also for one hour prior to the services on Thursday.

Gerald Spencer, the son of Arvel and Orene (Helgeson) Vold, was born August 23, 1953 in Faribault. He attended Faribault High School and then served in the U.S. Army. On October 7, 1972, he married Kaye Thibodeau at First English Lutheran Church, Faribault. They were later divorced and then remarried on July 30, 2002 at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault. Jerry previously established and owned JBJ Manufacturing of Faribault. After selling his share of the business, he was currently working with his brothers at V/M Engineering of Faribault. Jerry was an avid hunter and loved motorcycles and cars.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye; four children, Shannon (and Kevin) Stott of Jasper, TX, Andrea (and Chris) Jones of Medford, Rick Foss of Faribault and Jennifer (and Perry) Aune of Fergus Falls; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Kristin, Madison, Morgan, Ava, Payton and Bentley; two sisters, Ann (and Allen) Bauer and Deb (and Joe) Hanegraaf, all of Faribault; four brothers, Merle Vold, David (and Marcia) Vold, Jim (and Kathy) Vold and Todd (and Theresa) Vold, all of Faribault; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister in infancy and a sister in law, Mary Vold.

My condolences to the family and friends with your great loss. You don't know me. I went to school with Jerry. We never maintained contact after graduation. My prayers are with your family for peace and comfort on your loss. I see Jerry like motorcycles. Maybe some day he and I can ride those rodes around the pearly gates. Doug Grimm Goose Creek Sc
