Paul J. Thibodeau, age 91, formerly of Faribault, died on Friday, May 20, 2011, Minnesota Veterans Home, Minneapolis.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, with Bernadette Tatge, pastoral minister of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery with military rites provided by the Central Veterans Association.

Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services.

Paul J., the son of James and Josephine (Bushey) Thibodeau was born on October 4, 1919 in Faribault. He served in the U. S. Army during W. W. II in the Aleutian Islands. He lived in the V. A. Home until returning to Faribault in the 1960ís to assist his brother Stewart on the farm.

He is survived by nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Edward, George (and Agnes), Elmer (and Elizabeth) and Stewart (and Ruth) Thibodeau; seven sisters, Helen (and Francis) Minnick, Cordelia (and Martin) Wieres, Olivia (and Albert) Bokman, Irene (and Edward) Moll, Isabelle (and Laverne) Westphal, Valerie (and Christy) Sommers and Mary in infancy.

The family would like to thank Nora, Laurie, Kathy and Adzori of the Minnesota Veterans Home for their special care and attention given to Paul.

My best memory of uncle paul is all the nights of playing cards and having him tell me I was a stump when it came to being his parter.There was many night of Paul Aunt Ruth and my mom playing cards.Now heaven has some of the best card player ever.May God bless each one.Love them all.
