Lydia E. (Mrs. E. P.) Glende, age 100, of Faribault, died on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the District One Hospital, Faribault.

      Services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, Faribault, with the Reverend Maynard Spitzack officiating.  Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.

      Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Tuesday, November 8, 2007 from 3 to 7 p.m. and also in the church for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.

      Lydia Ella, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Gehrke) Preuss, was born on March 3, 1907 in Montevideo.  She married Eberhardt “E. P.” Glende on April 28, 1925 and he preceded her in death on January 16, 1988. She was formerly employed by Andrew’s Nursery and Farmer Seed and Nursery for 39 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, and arranging flowers.  Lydia was an avid Minnesota Twins fan.

      She is survived by three children, Laura Feyereisn, Bernice Kopp and Glen Glende, all of Faribault; nine grandchildren, Robert (and Sue) Feyereisn of Faribault, Dr. Wayne (and Bonnie) Feyereisn of St. Charles, Dr. Cindy (and Dr. Henry) Kermott of Nerstrand, Dr. Dawn (and David) Carlson of Bovey, Ranae (and Tony) Steen of Yuma, Arizona, Glen (and Mary) Feyereisn of Eden Prairie, Judy (and Dr. Chip) Rupnow of New Ulm, and Gary (and Brenda) Velzke of Faribault; two step grandchildren, Joe Kopp of Rochester and Susan (and Pat) Ehret of Middletown, Rhode Island; 19 great grandchildren, Amber (and Jason) Folkmann, Carissa Feyereisn, Sara Feyereisn, Greg Feyereisn, David (and Whitney) Landsteiner, Joel Landsteiner, Ben Landsteiner, Sam Carlson, Robert Steen, Jesse Steen, Jack Feyereisn, Will Feyereisn, Corey Velzke, Amanda Velzke, Eric Velzke, Samantha (and Jeremy) Gehrke, Allison Velzke, Ryan Velzke and Rachel Rupnow; three step great grandchildren, Christopher McMahan and Jaymee and Stacey Kopp; five great, great grandchildren; three step great, great grandchildren; and one sister, Ann (and Donald) Wegner of Morristown.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons in law, Don Velzke, Robert Feyereisn and Vern Kopp; one grandson, Larry Velzke; four brothers, Walter, Hugo, Arthur and Henry Preuss; three sisters, Minnie Sorgatz, Ida Pommeranz and Adeline Deno.
