Minnie H. (Mrs.
Arnold) Glende, age 90, of Faribault, died on Thursday,
October 11, 2007 at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault.
Services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, Faribault on
October 15, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Robert L. Mundahl
officiating. Interment will be in Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday,
October 14 from 2 to 5 p.m. and also at the church for one hour prior to the
service on Monday.
Minnie Hannah Alvina, the daughter of Albert William and Bertha
(Schultz) Bauer, was born at the family farm in Wheeling Township, Rice
County, MN on November 30, 1916. She married Arnold Emil Glende on
September 21, 1935 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Wheeling Township
where she had been baptized and confirmed. Right after their marriage, they
lived in Waseca for a short time and returned to the Faribault area where
she resided for the rest of her life. Minnie worked at Shattuck School
Bakery and Dusek's Bakery. Arnold preceded her in death on April 6, 1985.
She is survived by three children, Dale (and Edith) Glende
and Eugene (and
Alice) Glende all of Faribault and Eunice (and Tom) Chavie of Naples, FL;
grandchildren, David (and Kim) Glende of Northfield, Allen Glende of St.
Louis Park, Julie (and Rob) Struck of Bloomington, Thomas (and Lorena)
Chavie of Miami, FL, Timothy (and Maria) Chavie of Maple Grove, Andrew
Glende, Lori Glende and Linda (and Tony) Thompson, all of Faribault; great
grandchildren, Jacob Glende, Joshua Glende, Christopher Struck, Jeannie (and
Mitch) Slinger, Craig Remillard, Beth Remillard and Thomas Dientz; great
great grandchildren, Zachery and Bradley Slinger, Anthony, Koby and Autum
Glende and two sisters-in-law, Mabel Bauer and Adeline Bauer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; parents; sisters,
Irene (and Albert) Langevin, Laura (and Hubert) Langevin, Bertha (and Gus)
Spitzack, Esther (and Walter) Schlobohm, Velma (and Ervin) Glende, brothers,
Albert (and Valeria) Bauer, Alfred Bauer, Wilford (and Helen) Bauer;
brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul (and Anna) Glende, George (and Leona)
Glende, Edna (and George) Walderon, Hilda (and Harry) Warmington, Alma (and
Victor) Bauer, Erna (and Samuel) Fiebiger, and Emil (and Connie) Glende.
