    Gary R. Barcal, age 73, of Owatonna, died on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at his home.

    Funeral services will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Richard L. Jorgensen, pastor of First English Lutheran Church, Faribault, officiating. Interment will be at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.

    Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 24th from 5 to 7 p.m. and also for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

    Gary Roy, the son of Roy and Thelma (Struck) Barcal, was born on February 8, 1937 in Sioux City, IA. He married Beth Amman on April 25, 1981. He was employed as a chef in Sioux City, IA and as a landscaper in Colorado before retiring and moving to Owatonna.

    He is survived by his wife, Beth; three children, Shawn (and Pam) Barcal of Naples, FL, Chris (and Melia) Barcal of Little Rock, AR and Kelly (and Stacy) Barcal of Decater, AL; six grandchildren; one step grandchild; one sister, Jane Baty of Tucson, AZ; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Pat and Danny; and two sisters, Darling and Althier.
