DARLENE D. BURMEISTER
Darlene D. (Mrs. Wilmer) Burmeister, age 82, of Faribault, died on Friday, June 25, 2010 at the St. Lucas Care Center, Faribault.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Steven J. Kuehne, officiating. Interment will be at the Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 2 to 5 p.m. and also in the church for one hour prior to the services on Monday
Darlene D., the daughter of Bernard and Ernestine (Lick) Meyer was born on February 12, 1928 at Faribault. She was raised on a farm and attended country school. She graduated from Faribault Senior High in 1946. She married Wilmer Burmeister on August 11, 1951. She was a homemaker and also was employed by Kresge’s, Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf and Blind, and also Shattuck-St. Mary’s School all of Faribault. Darlene loved the Lord her God and all her family. She enjoyed baking, canning, gardening and embroidery.
She is survived by her husband, Wilmer; three children, Gary (Raelene) Burmeister of St. Francis; Susan Burmeister of Wisconsin, and Mark (and Barb) Burmeister of Faribault; four grandchildren, Gary "Jason" (and Shannon), Justin (and Kristen), Jamie (and Dennis Kootz) and William Burmeister; three great grandchildren, Cayla, Andrew "A. J.", and Theodore Burmeister.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Lucille Froman and Violet Mae in infancy.
