Lenora A. Kerben, age 101 of Faribault and formerly Richville, died on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at her home.

Memorial services will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Robert L. Mundahl, pastor of Peace Lutheran Church, Faribault officiating. Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Memorial visitation will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Lenora Ann, the daughter of Otto and Rose (Miller) Freiheit, was born February 23, 1909 at Wykoff, Minnesota. In 1936, she married Ernest Kerben. They farmed in the Richville area until his death in 1968. Lenora was known as the "Tulip Lady of Richville". She moved to Faribault in 1987 to be closer to her daughters. She enjoyed gardening, raising tulips, quilting, knitting, fishing, and watching the MN Twins since their inception.

She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Kerben and Rosalie VandeVoort, both of Faribault; five grandchildren, Daniel Alderman, David Alderman of San Acacia, NM, Peggy Sue (and Milton) Wiskocil of Morristown, Nancy Roberts of St. Clair and Bonita (and Joe) Zerck of Anchorage, AK; seven great grandchildren, Jason (and Tamara) Zerck of Rochester, Joshua Zerck of NM, Jessica Zerck of AK, Richard Hawthorne, Tyler Hawthorne and Jacob Larson of MN and Jennifer (and Joe) Streitz of Mankato; and two great great grandchildren, Jason Streitz and KristiAnn Zerck.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ernest; two sons in law, James Nulph and Robert VandeVoort; a brother and a sister.
