ELEANOR CASEY JOHNSON
Eleanor Casey Johnson, age 89, of Faribault, died on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at District One Hospital, Faribault.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault, with the Reverend Steven J. Kuehne officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.
Visitation will be held at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, on Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 2 to 5 p.m. and also in the church for one half hour prior to the service on Monday.
Eleanor, the daughter of Otto F. and Elsa Augusta (Lieder) Heyer, was born on August 24, 1920 in Faribault. She married Thomas J. Casey on August 1, 1944 in Colorado Springs, CO and he preceded her in death on September 27, 1971. She later married Arnie Johnson on September 27, 1981 and he preceded her in death on September 20, 1990. Eleanor was previously employed by the Rice County Courthouse, Andrews Nursery, Ochs Bros. Department Store and also by the Faribault Regional Center as an Assistant Group Supervisor for over 26 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Faribault Senior Center and the Auxilian Advocates for Health.
She is survived by three children, Michael J. (and Jane) Casey of Plymouth, MI, Thomas F. (and Margaret) Casey of Naperville, IL and Sean P. (and Tamela) Casey of South St. Paul; two step-daughters, Judy (and Kenneth) Eul and Nancy (and Dennis) Forster, both of Ft. Myers, FL; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three great grandchildren; 11 step-great grandchildren; one step-great, great grandchild; three brothers, Robert Heyer of Plymouth, Gerald Heyer of Faribault and David (and Diane) Heyer of Faribault; three sisters, Harriet Berghoff of Faribault, Jan Ebert of Des Moines, IA and Karen Murphy of Faribault; a sister in law, Shirley Heyer of Roseville; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; a daughter, Sheila Ann, age 4; three sisters, Adeline Ballenthin, Dorothy Rodamaker and a sister in infancy; four brothers, Roger, Harland, Darrell and Marvin Heyer; five brothers in law, Donald Berghoff, Willie Ballenthin, Merle Rodamaker, Robert Murphy and Frank Ebert; and three sisters in law, Muriel Heyer, Marilyn Heyer and Lorraine Heyer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society in memory of Eleanorís daughter, Sheila Ann.
