Memories

Mary and family, I can only offer prayer and my sincere condolences on Dennis' passing. I always found him to be an exceptional kind and gracious individual. I was surprised to read that he had been awarded the Silver Star and having strong familiarity with the military and the award process can only imagine that it was an honor that he may have cherished, even if silently understanding the probable circumstances under which it was presented. This is but one small item that speaks to the character of Dennis. The greater, and most important, example of his character is seen still today in the greatness of the wonderful family that he and Mary have created. I am honored to have known him. Prayers for you all...Brian (cousin)

Memories

Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. I can remember some mean euchre games with you two, Tom Goeritz and myself back in the 70's. Oh my, how much simpler things were then! I am so glad that Denny was able to see the Veterans' memorial before he go so sick. I hope that it was a final closure for him on what were probably some not so fond memories in Vietnam. I am proud to have known him and I am glad that I did thank him for his service in the military. Take care and hugs. Irene, Sharon and Marge please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of your brother! May time help ease the pain of your loss but keep Denny's memories alive in your hearts and minds.

Memories

Dear Lois and Irene, I am so sorry to hear about Dennis. Dad mentioned it to me yesterday. I remember when we were all little and used to go ice skating on the river, meeting up at your house. Dennis was always fun to be around. Seeing his accomplishments makes me realize what a fine man he was. As your distant cousin, please accept my sincere sympathy, to you both, as well as the rest of the family, and to his wife and children. You will miss him dearly, but are blessed by having him in your lives. Sincerely, Nancy Sorgatz Champagne

Memories

Mary and family, I'm so deeply sadden by the passing of Dennis. As you know, he was such a nice, hard working man. My best memories are, of the softball days, when Dennis and Clifford Schmidtke were our Morristown Commercial Club women's softball team coaches. He also was a good friend to my dad, Jack O'Rourke. Dad thought alot of Dennis. Now they are in heaven together.

Memories

So sorry for your loss. A bright light has gone out in our community. Dennis was such a great guy, always laughing, always full of the beans and we will miss him. His driving force on the memorial in Morristown was amazing even though sick he worked so hard, (that was nothing new to him) and the results are a tribute to his tenacity. He's found his peace and it's time for him to take his rest. Thank you for sharing him with us. God bless you. Keith & Lauri

Memories

My heart is so heavy knowing that I didn't get to visit with Dennis and let him know how much I appreciated having a friend like him. We shared a lot of school memories and I always felt close to him for these. We also shared the last memories of my father with Dennis being an EMT. To Mary and all of Dennis's family I am thinking of you and sharing your lose. God Bless.
