Alan McGaw, 86, of Faribault, MN passed away peacefully in his sleep following complications of a fall. He was born April 16, 1927 in Glasgow, Scotland to Helen and William McGaw. He was a devoted husband to Nancy McFedries. They were married on August 23, 1948 in Glasgow Scotland.

Alan is survived by his wife of 65 years Nancy; his brother Kenneth (Jean) of England; his five children: Lynn Hale of Spring Lake Park; Alan (Diana) McGaw Jr. of Kent, WA; Barbara (Vance) Vinar of Faribault; Kenneth (Carol) McGaw of Dassel; and Suzanne Sanders of Faribault. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents William and Helen McGaw; sister's Ella, Faye, Margaret, brother William; and sons-in-law Rick Hale and Todd Sanders.

He was a kind and gentle man that was loved and respected by all.

A private memorial was held for family members at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault. Interment was at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault.
