Services: Divine Mercy Catholic Church ~ Faribault on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.
Visitation: The Boldt Funeral Home ~ Faribault on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m.
  and also at the church for one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
   

 

Helen L, Remold, age 78 of Faribault died on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Keystone Communities, Faribault.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Faribault on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with the Reverend Michael Kaluza officiating. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Wednesday, February 4th from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at church for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Helen Louise, the daughter of Gentiel and Rosalie (Ost) Vandendriessche was born August 31, 1936 in Faribault. She graduated from Bethlehem Academy in 1954. Helen married Duane J. Remold on September 12, 1959 in Faribault; he preceded her in death on December 15, 1978. She was formerly employed with Matejcek Implement for many years. Helen was a member of Eagles Auxiliary, Daughters of Isabella, Rosary Society and a Faribault Area Hospice volunteer.

She is survived by three children, Mary (and Gordy) Ernste of Faribault, Mark (and Ann) Remold of Faribault, Peter Remold of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Jamie Ernste, Michelle and Eric Remold; one sister, Mary "Susie" Blatz of Dubuque, IA; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Duane; and a brother, Marcel Vandendriessche.

MARY,MARK, PETER, YOU ALL HAVE OUR LOVE, PRAYERS AND SYMPATHY ONE OF THE BEST MEMORIES I REMEMBER WAS WHEN MOM WORKED AT THE CREAMERY, SHE WOULD WALK OVER TO OUR HOUSE ON 6TH ST AND EAT HER LUNCH, IT WAS A LOT OF TIMES COTTAGE CHEESE, BUT SHE WAS A GREAT LADY BEFORE SHE GOT SICK I STOPPED AT THE HOUSE AND HAD A GREAT VISIT WITH HER, SHE WILL BE MISSED, SORRY WE CANNOT BE THERE FOR THE FUNNERAL, BUT WE ARE COMMITTED TO BE OUT OF TOWN.
