Memories

I can't tell all of you how shocked and saddened I was to first learn of the circumstances with Barb's health and then hours later to learn of her death. I will forever miss her energy and her laugh. She was special and she will be greatly missed. You are all heavily in my thoughts.

Memories

I had the pleasure of meeting Barb several years ago. She had just had open heart surgery. Things in life were uncertain and rocky yet she maintained a positive outlook. She was always looking for ways to improve her situation, refusing to let anything get the best of her. I know that she will continue looking after her family and find ways to help even if not physically present.

Memories

My heart is so heavy today. I will miss her hugs and her witty jokes. When she would hug me, I knew she truly loved me. Her family was everything. Her children were close to her always. I love you all. My heart will be with you always my friend. I will not be able to make it through Walmart without our memories there! She knows exactly what I mean. I will miss you so much. I love you kiddo! Until we see each other again my friend, I will be jotting down jokes for you.

Memories

Barbara was a friend from our days at Whittier, Central and Findlay High School. She was my summer pool buddy at Riverside Pool. It would never fail that at the start of every summer, she would get nosebleeds from diving into the cold water. She was a fun, kind person and I only have good memories of her. In more recent years, I've been able to see her at a couple of our class reunions. Facebook has also kept our friendship going. Her photos of her grandkids brought her great joy. I'm very sorry that Barb passed away so soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Memories

I have so many wonderful memories of my dear friend, Barb. What I will remember most is her beautiful blue eyes, her terrific smile and her infectious laugh. She was one of the strongest people I know, although she sometimes struggled to see her own strength. She had a heart of gold and was a loyal and true friend. It is rare when you find a friend who is there for you...not because she is your sister, cousin, aunt, neighbor or coworker, but because of no other reason than she wants to be. That is what Barb brought to my life. She was a true friend who was always there just because she wanted to be. Last Saturday night I was watching a movie with my son and a scene caught my attention. So much so, that I asked my son to replay it over and over. I even wrote down these words, "And I know it's only natural to be sad, but not because of the words "He dies." but because of the life we saw prior to the words.” Little did I know that just a few days later I would know why they touched me so much. Jeff...Through all of your good times and bad, I hope you know how much Barb loved you. Hillary, Taylor and Jen...You and your children meant the world to your Mom. She spoke of you all the time with great pride and love. You were her whole life. She wants nothing more for you to live your life to the fullest and be happy. She is watching from afar and will be waiting for you in heaven. I am sure of that. Until we see each other again Barb...I love you. Kim
