Memories

Jan and family, I talked to my mom this morning and she told me of the sudden loss of your mom. I am so sorry. Moms are so special and I remember your mom as being kind and loving. I remember going for a sleep over at your house when we were going to Trinity Lutheran so many years ago. I am praying for God's comfort in the upcoming weeks and months for your family. We loved knowing your Mom's wit and waited for her sage advise. Thanksgiving day was a joy in the pie cutting area when she was there. Thank you for sharing her with the world. Bless you during this difficult time.

Memories

What a sad time to open the Faribault Daily News, and read of Ruthann's tragic accident. Having met her years ago through the Red Cross, and becoming friends, I had such admiration for her. We would run into each other so often when I came to town, and she was always busy doing some kind deed to help somebody. She was truly one of a kind, and the world is at a loss with her gone. But Heaven is better with her presence. I can see her organizing ways to make things better for everyone there. May all of her family find God's grace to help them wih their grief. You all were loved so much by her. She was a very special woman. It was an honor to be her friend.

Memories

Ruthann was one of a kind. She would make me laugh with her comments, she had such a quick wit. She was a wonderful asset to the Red Cross and the Bloodmobile. She did a great job organizing and making things happen. She lived a good life and will be missed by many. She raised some pretty good kids, too! It is so sad to say good-bye, but knowing that she is in the arms of Jesus now is a blessing. She will be getting things ready for us in heaven when we can someday join her again. She was an awesome woman and will never be forgotten. We will meet again. Prayers for the family during these days. May you find peace in the memories you all have. With Sympathy, Tammy Meyer

Memories

Putts and Ruthann and their family lived on Home Place and our home was on 10th Ave. SW; we were neighbors for many, many years. Our girls, Lauri, Ann and Krista played with Julie and Jan, loving to play in their playhouse and in their back yard. I remember well the days when Steve and Tom were born. Ruthann was always busy. Steve was 3 weeks old when she painted the exterior of their home. Ruthann could sew everything from a sailboat sail to tiny Barbie doll clothing. Our neighborhood was abundant with kids....Julie, Tina and Tim Brooks, the Dusbabek girls and Mark, all the Shaft boys, the Sporre kids and the Mahler and Cashin kids......how fun these kids had playing all the kid outside games. Ruthann will be missed by many of us. In high school I worked at the Lehman Gardens for Dick and Ruth Lehman. Ruthann had the Lehman work ethic and accomplished much for the benefit of all of us. May her memory be forever blessed.

Memories

Ruthann was my dear friend, She babysat me when I was little and became a good friend and "lunch companion" in later years. She was also the dedicated Chairman of the American Red Cross Bloodmobile for many years and, as a Red Cross employee, I know what a tremendous service to the community this was. She truly saved lives besides enriching them! Thankfully, I had the privilege of a long conversation with her on her 86th birthday, I will miss her so much and my prayers are with you all.

Memories

My thoughts are with your family at this difficult time. Many of us were shocked by this news via the newscast on Easter Sunday. I remember Ruthann well from being a 'Trinity kid' with Steve. She was a fine lady and will be missed by all.

Memories

I, too, will remember Ruthann for her strong spirit and wit. She was not one to sit still, rather a "let's get it done" kind of gal. When I volunteered in the Faribault Lutheran School Library, she painted the "new" shelving installed there. I was so grateful for that. I'm sure many others will tell similar stories. To have known her was a blessing. Dear family, may you find peace in knowing Ruthann is with her Lord and Savior. May you find comfort in each other and in knowing how much Ruthann was treasured by so many. She was one-of-a-kind and we loved her for that.

Rick and I are so very saddened to hear of your loss. I truly enjoyed Ruthann's sense of humor and depth of caring. I will never forget the kindness she showed to my sons and me when we purchased her parent's home, the Lehman house. She was a beautiful woman and we are so sorry for your family's loss.

Memories

Our Faribault will be soggier without Ruthann's dry sense of humor, Dimmer without her flashing smile, Duller without her observations, and just a lesser place for having been blessed by Ruthann all these years. I grieve as are so many. It's a good thing we know where she is, that all is not list. My sympathies, Burkhartzmeyer clan, my deep deep sympathies for your loss.
