           Marjorie D. Matthies, age 81, of Hewitt, TX, died on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Providence Hospital, Waco, TX.

           Mass of Christian Burial will be at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Faribault, on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Faribault.

           Visitation will be held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church for one hour prior to the service on Friday.

           Arrangements are being completed by the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault.

           Marjorie Delores, the daughter of Raymond and Catherine (Lonien) Jandro, was born on September 1, 1933 in Faribault.  She was raised in Faribault and graduated from Faribault High School with the class of 1952. Marjorie married Wallace Matthies on October 24, 1964. Together they raised five children.  Marjorie was a dedicated homemaker and beloved mother who enjoyed baking, playing cards and bingo.  She possessed a humble character and peaceful disposition, which made her a delight to be around! Marjorie’s faith was of great importance to her. She also worked as a caregiver and housekeeper at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault.

            She is survived by her husband, Wallace of Waco, TX; five children, Ann Lobban of Waco, TX, Kevin and (Jayme) Matthies of San Antonio, TX, Pam (and Rick) Winsky of Lyndon, KS, Lisa and (Charlie) Berger of Hewitt, TX and Michael Matthies of Waco, TX; 11 grandchildren, Johnny Matthies, Ashlie Reynolds, Blake Lobban, Stacy Martinez, Ricky Winsky Jr., Lauren Berger, Nicholas Lobban, Kyle Matthies, Megan Berger, Collin Matthies, and Preston Berger; seven great grandchildren, Taj Baker, Seveth Baker, Zoey Baker, Blaine Baker, Braxton Reynolds, Skyleigh Lobban and Jayston Christiason; brothers and sisters, Leila Parkos of Cannon City, MN, David & Maxine Jandro of Faribault, MN; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

           She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Eileen O’Connor, Nancy Landherr and Mary Ann Burke; and two brothers, Jerry Jandro and Gordon Jandro.

           The family prefers that memorial gifts be directed to the family of Marjorie Matthies.
