I worked with Scott for many years. What a great guy. We worked in the archery department together and he was so much fun to be around. After he left we some what kept in touch mostly by Facebook. He will be missed by those who were close to him and those like myself who had the privilege of knowing him. His family can rest in knowing he touched many in a very positive way during his time here. My heart is heavy and my thoughts are of him and his family. Rest in peace my friend. Rest in peace.

Memories

It was a shock to hear about Scott. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. I do not think there is enough space here to list all of my memories that Sue and I have of Scott, Lisa and the Qualey family. They were wonderful neighbors in Hastings for many years. I can remember being on the ground under my car in the driveway changing oil and hearing a sweet little voice saying "what ya doing Dave." That was Tara when she was about 3 years old. Sue and I spent a number of hours next door playing cards. Scott and I had some memorable times together that included a fly in fishing trip to Canada. One year Scott and I were deer hunting and I managed to shoot a couple deer. Scott took a knife and made an inscription in the tree "did you bring only 1 bullet this year Dave" That tree stand has now fallen down but the inscription lasted a number of years and is still fresh in my mind. Water skiing at Fox Lake, Going to football games, Loading an ice cream maker in the back of my pick up to deliver to a Hardies store in Winona. Many nights when I was on the bowling league, Scott would show up at the bowling alley and we would try to solve the worlds problems over one or two beers. When the family moved to Colorado for a few years, Sue and I made a trip out and Scott and Lisa took care of Kristy while Sue, Paul and I went down hill skiing. When Scott was working at Cabelas, I used to take long lunch hours to the store and make it a point to track him down. We always had something to talk about. We will really miss you Scott.
